I have been in the field of dentistry for 25 years and am currently practicing as a Dental Therapist with private and public patients. Within the last 20 years, I have been a dental assistant, dental therapy student, dental therapist, clinical tutor, oral health lecturer, and an educator within a Community Oral Health Service. This amazing journey has prepared me with the tools and solutions to the particular issues we face in private and public dental settings. My experiences have given me a global perspective of dental services and oral health within Aotearoa. I love working with, and empowering people to think beyond their current mindset.
I’m a practising dental therapist and practice owner. My background is in oral health service management within a DHB setting. Previously I held a clinical leadership role, supporting an oral health workforce. I’ve achieved qualifications along the way including a post-grad certificate in public health and a post-grad diploma in business management. My passion is for preventatively-focused oral health care for improving oral health and for empowering and helping oral health therapists, hygienists and dental therapists to achieve their goals and overcome barriers and hurdles.
